1988 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II Anniversary Edition

125k miles on the chassis.

75k on transmission.

I have nearly ~ $11,000 invested in the car.  I don't expect to get ~$11,000 for the car of course, but I'm not going to give the car away.  I've put the estimated value of the modifications next to the topic headings below.

The reason I am selling it is because I am starting another project.  This car is very reliable and very fast.  I would not hesitate to jump in and drive it across the country.  In fact, I have driven the car to Deal's Gap in North Carolina multiple times without issue.  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login   Further more, I think these gentlemen would agree the car is fast.  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login    I don't know what quarter mile times it is capable of because the car was built to handle, but I will say the car does push you back in the seat nicely.

Details about the engine rebuild: (~ $3500 invested with receipts)
 - S5 J-spec 13BT street ported housing, resurfaced plates and hardened stationary gears. Pictures of street porting, plate resurfacing and re-nitriding available at You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
 - S4 13BT e-shaft and low compression rotors.
 - S5 J-spec 13BT upper and lower intakes.
 - Ported Throttle body.
 - Rotary Aviation rebuild kit.
 - Rotary Aviation Super Seal Apex seals and race springs.
 - All engine seals are cryo treated.
 - New rotor bearing and 3-window gear bearings.
 - Atkins Rotary Solid Corner Seals.
 - Racing Beat 85psi Oil regulator.
 - Racing Beat oil pan baffle.
 - Banzai Racing oil pan brace.

Turbocharger and Intercooler Modifications: (~ $2000)
 - BNR Supercar Stage 1 S5 TII Turbo w/ported wastegate, larger compressor wheel and clipped turbine wheel.
 - Manual boost controller to hold 12 psi of boost pressure at wide open throttle.
 - GReddy V-Spec front mount intercooler.
 - GReddy Type-RS Blow off valve.

Clutch and Flywheel: (~ $1100)
 - Act Street Comp friction disc and pressure plate.
 - Act Street lite flywheel and counter weight.
 - Short throw shifter w/weighted shift knob.

Fuel and Ignition System Upgrades: (~ $600)
 - RTek7 1.7 ECU Upgrade.
 - New 580cc Primary and 850cc Secondary fuel injectors.
 - Walboro 255LPH High Volume Fuel Pump.
 - K&N Intake Filter.
 - Magnacor 10mm Ignition wires.

Cooling System: (~ $600)
 - Koyo Aluminum Radiator.
 - Flex-a-lite Black Magic Extreme 160 Electric fan.
 - New upper and lower radiator hoses.
 - Car still has complete Air Conditioning system that needs charge.

 - Racing Beat REV TII complete stainless steal 3" downpipe, Racing Beat pre-silencer and dual muffler exhaust.

Suspension and Steering: (~ $1500)
 - Manual Steering Rack
 - Tokico Illumina Adjustable coilover shocks with Eibach Springs on pillow ball mounts on adjustable camber plates.
 - Racing Beat front and rear swaybars w/end links.
 - Cusco front strut bar.

Body Modifications: (~ $500)
 - S5 front and rear bumpers.
 - S5 mirrors and moldings.
 - S5 tail lights

Brakes, Wheels and Tires: (~ $500)
 - Hawk HP+ Brake Pads.
 - S5 TII Rims (lightest strongest factory rims) trim black.
 - Kelly Charger 205/55/16 with less than 2k miles on them.

Interior:
 - Black leather Anniversary Edition Interior in good shape.
 - S5 Leather door panels w/speakers in the door (usually not in the AE version, but I put rust free doors on the car).
 - Momo Coarse 350mm Steering wheel.
 - The car does have some rust.  For those familiar with these cars the rust is in the typical spots.  The paint is OK, but could use repair.

Other Misc Modifications:
 - Removed emissions and oil injection system.  This means you will have to add two stroke oil directly to the gas EVERY TIME you put gas in the car.  The oil injection systems are pron to failure and responsible for engine failures due to lack of lubrication.  Having invested in a new motor I chose not to risk it and add the oil directly to the gas.
 - Fuel Pump Rewire by-passing factory resistors to get full voltage to fuel pump for consistent fuel pressure transitioning to boost.
 - AutoMeter Boost Gauge.

Asking $5000 or best offer.  Serious inquiries only.  I wouldn't waste your time, so please don't waste my time.

That is a sweet ride!!!
"Long Live Rotary"

An RX-7 is like having a slut as a gf! She will love you, but she will also screw around with the guy at the parts store, most of the local cops, your insurance agent, your apex seals, your bank account and your credit card!!!
