Front Bose door speakers working intermittently
« on: February 23, 2018, 05:30:39 AM »
I decided to give the RX8 a little love yesterday. After replacing a brake light bulb and chasing down an interior rattle, I started investigating why the speaker would work intermittently.

What I found was that when I would tap on the amplifier in the door it would turn the speaker on or off.

Luckily I found the thread below and had a couple new relays kicking around.

It's nice to have the stock system working again. It actually sounds pretty good too!

Nice to have a properly working stereo system.

I've got a very similar issue with my Silver FC, every bump I hit will turn the stereo off, definitely annoying.

that is a well written repair procedure that you found.  Glad you got it fixed

An RX-7 is like having a slut as a gf! She will love you, but she will also screw around with the guy at the parts store, most of the local cops, your insurance agent, your apex seals, your bank account and your credit card!!!
