Hi fellow Rotorheads! Hope all is well, and finally, we're getting warmer weather and no rain.
For many years I've talked about doing a project which would pull a V8 out of a vehicle and drop in a 13B. Before I get too specific, it is definitely something that I want to chronicle online (those details are in process too).
Anyway, the donor car will have a ford rear end and trans, and a tube frame. I imagine that custom motor mounts and driveshaft will be required. And... I'll need the 13B too.
I'm not going to do the work. I want it done right, and that is outside my skill level .
So, i'm looking for ideas on who might be good sources to do the work. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Mustang? Let me know I'd be interested to help, I have done a lot of swaps including rotaries into piston cars.
-
Sweet! If it's a mustang, reminds me of the old wankel powered mustangs https://forums.vintage-mustang.com/vintage-mustang-forum/568109-1965-wankel-rotary-mustang.html. Hope to hear more soon, this is interesting. As far as anyone able to do the swap, I can't really recommend anyone nearby, except Will of course.

Will has plenty of willing hands to help too. I would be willing to help will with this effort.

Wow... sweet! Hey, the offers are appreciated! So, think Shelby Cobra replica... 13B powered. Hoping to find a good one, maybe an older Factory Five, pull out the recycled 5.0 and drop in the 13B. So, how insane am I?

Depends on which engine? 13b REW with an EFR 9820?
-
Shelby Cobra 13B swap sounds amazing, haven't seen that done yet. The EFR turbos are awesome!
-
Will the turbo be poking through the hood?
-
that would be awesome. I would love to see a cobra with a rotary in it

Nothing will poke through the hood. But.... not against a turbo. Would love to do a bridge but I like my ears.
