It's that time of year again! August 18, 2012 Woodward Dream Cruise!!!!
We will be meeting at the same place as the years before inside the Woodward loop in Pontiac at Lafayette st. We will be there early and stay till they kick us out. We will have a grill to grill out bring a dish to pass and something for the grill. We plan on meeting before then to put up the fence and clean the lot up as well. We really need the help to clean it up and get it ready for us. We will post when we will be cleaning it a little closer to the date. We will also put up a list of things for people to sign up to bring. If we can get some money ahead of time we can rent a port-a-John again. so please let us know if your interested. Anyone needing a place to stay let us know.

Just trying to find out how many people will be able to make it out for Dream Cruise this year. I am planning on buying some hamburgers and brats and want to make sure I have enough. Please let me know if you will make it out or not.

Hope everyone can make it. We will be renting a port-a-john. We bought Brats, and some pop (coke & Mt. Dew) and some potato salad, cake, and some cookies. Still need people to bring some more things. So please get with us if you can bring something. Don't forget bring your lawn chairs. later in the week we might come out and sit or cruise (but probably not in the 7) Call us if anyone wants to meet up. Groll (rich) 248-568-1745. Looks like I won't be able to make it this year :(
However, Grand Rapids is having their own cruise a week or two after Detroit. Camping at my place if anyone from out of town is interested (2 blocks from the cruise strip). Just shoot me a PM if you want a place to crash. :)

The Parking Lot is on the inside corner of the Woodward loop as you begin to head southbound again. It is the corner of Layfette and Woodward. In order to enter the parking lot though, you have to circle the block.

I should be able to make it out to the lot for a bit of the day, but still am figuring out what to bring for grilling

We will have Brats for the grill. So unless you want something else besides that. Otherwise you can bring some snack type thing.

I'm about 95% sure I'll be there. Unfortunately it won't be with a rotary. I asked my mom to make some cookies again.

2 more days till the event. I look forward to seeing everyone who can make it to the lot. We will be there all day from sun up to sun down on saturday.

I have to work at 3 till about 1ish i'd say on saturday so I can make it there around noon or sooner, what time does it begin?

I got down there a little to late and couldn't find any rotarys or I was blind haha. Maybe some one seen me I had the white TII with white rims I made a couple passes around the loop.

Thx for the invite and the hospitality. Great to see some fine rotaries again! We would have returned, but some D-bag in a Fusion NASCAR decided that he needed to do doughnuts in the middle of Wooward at the Adams intersection. The police pounced all over him and shut down multiple lanes, so it was a mess getting out.

T2Tom - I had to leave a little early, but the lot was right at the corner on the inside of the loop where N. If you were in a 7 though, it was unlikely you'd be able to see any of the cars there from the road.

I think the event turned out well again this year. We had a great time as usual and it was great to see everyone again.

It was a great time and the car ran good until i tried to drive home and the cooling fan died.
I wanted to say thanks to Rich and Charity for organizing the event. Thanks to toplessFC3Sman for helping me out with my tune and a very special thanks to elwood who I just met that day but was willing to give my wife and I a ride home when the car broke down.

Glad you were able to get home will. It was great to see everyone. Now this weekend is the MRC cruise and picnic at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge MI. Located 7 miles west of lansing.

What time does it start? I'm getting new steel welded into my RX-7's rear wheel wells starting at 10am.

Dream cruise was last Saturday. Tomorrow is the rotary club cruise which will start at Rich and Charity's (groll69 and krazykreiner) at 10am.
